"Just In The Nick Of Time"

I visited your service department today, for the first time.  I am a Montclair Volvo customer, and due to their closure, will now be a Prestige Volvo customer.

I went to the parts department intending to buy 2 lightbulbs for my brake lights.  A technician quickly offered to put them in for me, and we then discovered my brake light problem was not the light bulb - it ended up being a connection issue.

However, I would just like to comment on how wonderful both the service manager, Jay Rosen, was, and also Patricia Sommerville.  Jay was concerned about me driving home, and was able to squeeze me in without an appointment, and also get me a loaner.  Patricia then quickly processed my car and loaner.  She even had my car washed!

I was really impressed, and very grateful.  Thank you so much to both of them.  Their professionalism and courtesy was very appreciated.

"Above and Beyond"

I have a 2004 XC-90 which I purchased at Prestige, and I have had it serviced at the dealership ever since.  I found over the years that the Service Department is run in a courteous and professional manner.

They loyalty which I have shown to your dealership was recognized and reciprocated when I brought my XC-90 there last week with a blown transmission.  Of course as luck would have it, the transmission "went" outside of the 100,000 mile warranty (which I had purchased).

Scott and Jay obviously discussed my situation and my background as a customer of your dealership and conculded that the transmission replacement could be considered a "warranty" item, and the replacement was done on that basis.

To say that I was thrilled with that decision would be a rather large understatement.  Since that decision was made by your dealership to recognize a loyal customer, that loyal customer has been a walking commercial for Prestige Volvo.

"Excellent Service"

I just wanted to let you know that your Prestige Volvo dealer on Route 10 East in East HAnover, has a phenominal service department.  My fiance and I recently purchased a '06 C70 T5 from this location, and unfortuntely there have been numerous problems with the car.  Unlike with most car dealers, wher you have a problem or difficulty getting great service representatives or loaner cars, the employees of this service department are excellent.  Bob, and Patricia, to name a few are always so kind, courteous and pleasant when I have to bring my car in for service.  They make dealing with the issues at hand a whole lot easier with their fast serivce, and extensive knowledge of my car.  Their outstanding service should be commended.  If and when the time comes to get a new car, I will definitely think about another Volvo, partially based on your service department at this location.

I wanted to express my hearty thanks for your job well done.  The circumstances of my visit were not pleasant, but your service staff could not have done a better job.  Through your guidance and humble creativity, the completion of the job exceeded my expectations.  I would like to draw special attention to Pat, who took the time to care for my personal satisfaction by following up with a smile, (which shines through the telephone) even when I didn't feel like smiling; because of the key damage to the silver paint on my car.

"Hooked On A Feeling"

I had to take the time to write a thank you for taking great care of my wife in the Blue XC-90 today.  I got a call this morning from my wife about a whirring noise in our new XC-90.  What do I know I asked?  I sell insurance & suggested she should call an EXPERT.  We were so happy with the service that we received from Jeff in sales & pleased to find the same great service in the service dept.

Her story is simple, that she called you after whirring in my ear over the phone.  I am sure you hear a lot of noises over the phone in the morning about a whirring noise but no laughs or giggles over the phone.  You told her to come on in & once inside she found the environment pleasant not stressful & a place to sit in comfort.  You told her 45 minutes and that is what it took to get rid of the whirring.

I am in the service business & know how hard it is to please customers.  You have succeeded with us.

Thank you again for taking great care of my family leaving such a positive feeling for us.

I am not sure how to thank you for going out and beyond to help me on February 4th and on February 6th.  I see you are always attentive to every one and continue to smile and greet every one so professionally.  You are never flustered and you should be at a National level on training every one on customer skills.  Our country needs more people like you.

My only problem now is I cannot buy cars from any other dealer nor switch to a new make.

My Volvo S40 is almost 10 years old and I may need a new car soon, but you and the excellent service at Prestige Volvo has prevented me from breaking my loyalty to look at anything else.

"Meeting Expectations"

I would like to write a letter of appreciation for the service that I received at your dealership. Two of your guys in particular, Joel Casser and Jay Rosen, impressed me with their willingness to go above and beyond to meet my high expectations after (and during) my purchase of a used XC-90 from your dealership in late-December.

First, Joel's establishment and maintenance of your internet site made me comfortable with your shop and compelled me to drive from Philadelphia to buy a car from Prestige Volvo. I searched within a 300 mile radius of my home in Philadelphia for the very best deal. In late December I was talking with numerous Volvo dealers, and I am  confident that I found the best package at your dealership. Joel's willingness to take and upload pictures and his accessibility during my evaluation period made me comfortable that I was getting a quality product.

Joel's service didn't end there. When I arrived to your dealership on December 26th, I noticed a dent and scratch on the passenger side door. Unfortunately, I arrived too late for the repair to be done at that time. Not wanting to have to drive back to East Hanover from Philadelphia, Joel volunteered to drive down to Philadelphia in order to pick the car up, drive the car back to East Hanover for the repair, and then drive the car back to Philadelphia. Joel absolutely went above and beyond. Additionally, he never stopped assuring me that he was available whenever I had a question or concern about the vehicle. Joel deserves a lot of praise for his hard work and dedication. I will strongly urge any friends or family to visit your dealership specifically due to Joel's commitment to servicing this customer. 

While my relationship with Jay Rosen was far more brief, this interaction saved the significant goodwill your company had built with me. After buying the XC-90 in New Jersey, I had to have an inspection done in Pennsylvania for in-state tags. Upon inspection, I found that the rear two tires were nearly bald. This discovery restored every prejudice that I had of used car dealers. I felt completely taken advantage of, and upon hearing from your sales group that there was "nothing that they could do" I was certain to call anyone and everyone at Volvo Corporate to express my disappointment and disgust with the service that I had received. However, I got in touch with Jay Rosen, who shared my belief that the tires shouldn't have been in that condition, and made the situation right. Jay went above and beyond to correct the situation and restored my faith in your dealership. Jay deserves recognition for saving the relationship between this family and your company.

Again, I appreciated doing business with your company, and I will highly recommend your dealership to anyone looking to buy a Volvo. The beauty of technology today is that your business is no longer local. For the value that you and your people deliver, customers will be willing, as I was, to come great distances to do business with you.

"Best of the SUV's"

The salesman was knowledgeable. We got a pretty good deal compared to the other deals on the other cars that we had we looked at. It seemed like the best value. Down the road, we'll have to see how it pans out in terms of reliability of the car and all that, but in terms of comparability, we felt like this was the best choice to get verses other SUV's in the same category. Everything went pretty well. Generally, whatever I was told they held up their end of the deal.

"Fixing Frustrations"

I recently purchased a Volvo C70 Coupe from Prestige Volvo in East Hanover, New Jersey.  Unfortunately, the retractable roof did not operate correctly (reliably).  Their service department addressed the problem on multiple occasions, and the mechanics finally assured us that the problem was solved.  The dealership owner, Lenny, was aware of the problems and involved in the matter.  Imagine our frustration when the roof became stuck again in the middle-up position on a trip away from home!

We spoke with the dealership and were assured that they would "put us in a new vehicle."  Having had less than stellar experiences from other car dealerships, I was shocked, the Sales Manager called to inform us that the new car was ready for pickup!

I write this note to praise the professionalism, integrity and responsibility of the people at Prestige Volvo and to make certain that the folks at corporate headquarters see what occurs "out in the trenches."  You should be extremely pleased with the manner in which Lenny and his staff handled this problem.  I would strongly suspect that it is indicative of their overall approach to customer service.

This is a perfect example of how a major problem can be turned into a significant positive!  Kudos to the people (Management, Sales and Service) in East Hanover and to the company for its superb choice of representation by this dealership!

"Sincere Courtesy"

This is a note of appreciateion for the excellent service that you rendered me whien I brought my car in for the 90-100k service.  It was Good Friday and since the traffic was light on the highway, I ended up at your dealershp at 6:45 AM (way before the opening time at 7:30 AM).  It was a nice surprise when you walked over to my car at 6:50 AM and asked me if I was dropping off the car and invited me into your office.

Thanks for getting me into your office that early and getting me on the road with a loaner car by 7:05 AM.  Not only that the car was heated and you even set the radio dial to my favorite station - NPR.

On picking up my car at the end of the day, you stopped and informed me about the things that were done for the car that was extra.  Like having new bolts put and my wheel caps/rims newly painted.  Even the rusted screws on the license plates were replaced.  My wife commented on how great the car looked with the snazzy work on the wheels.

Most of all, I thank you for how sincerely you were courteous to me.  We all can tell a person who goes through the motions of being nice and it is plastic as it brings discredit to the organization.  In your case, it was genuine caring and once again my sincere thanks for the excellent level of service.  You add "Prestige" and distinction to your organization.

"Superior Customer Service"

I'm writing this letter to thank Jay Rosen and Scott NEale for providing not excellent, but superior customer service.

I became a Prestige Volvo customer when Montclair Volvo closed in October 2008.  My first experience with Prestige was due to an emergency situation just before Christmas.  I needed a front brake job and an 82,500 service.  Scott wrote it up, called early and the car was returned without any problems.

Due to the excellent service I received, I called Scott when I noticed that my check engine light was going on and off.  He told me to bring the car in as soon as possible.  Upon inspection Scott inquired about a transmission job I had done in September at Montclair Volvo.  The problem identified was related to the work done at Montclair Volvo.  This was a major concern because Montclair Volvo was now closed and not available to make the necessary corrections.

I contacted the Customer Relations Department at the Volvo corporate office.  My contact with them left me angry and considering taking legal action.  When I discussed my problem with Jay Rosen he intervened on my behalf.  The problem was resolved to my utmost satisfaction.

Again, I would like to commend and thank Jay Rosen and his staff for providing not only excellent mechanical service, but superior and outstanding customer relations.  I look forward to a long relationship with Prestige Volvo for serivce and future sales.

Patricia was fabulous.  My door hinge broke and I called and asked for a loaner for the following day.  No luck but Patricia asked if I could come late that very afternoon and bring the loaner back by 9 AM the next day (fitting me in between two other loaner appointments).  My car was fixed by 6 PM and I had it back at 9 AM the next morning.  It could not have worked out better!

This was my first visit to Prestige Volvo and I must say that I was extremely impressed with the level of customer service of the staff.  I recently recommended friends of mine to meet with Mr Haiken and they purchased a pre-owned car.  Great job.

I could not say enough about how excellent the service from Prestige Volvo.  I always feel that I am a very important person having service done.  This is my 2nd Volvo and love it.  I had 4 tires put on at Sears.  That was a bad experience!  Three hours to do that job.  I told my husband that I was returning to Prestige Volvo where the service and product could not be matched.
